Key Verse: I Peter 4:7 “But the end of all things is at hand; therefore be serious and watchful in your prayers.” I know a lot of Christians who love to talk about the end of the world. They like to guess who the antichrist is gonna be, and what will happen to America in the end days. They enjoy debating when the rapture will take place, and who the 24 elders are. While there is nothing wrong with this, it should never take away from something that Peter tells us we are to do. Here in 1 Peter 4:7, we are reminded that yes the end of the world is near, but our number one goal should not be to debate the when and the how. Rather our number one goal should faithfulness in our prayer life. Why is that? Because the reason most people have moral failures in their life is a result of a lackluster prayer life. Our prayers to God is perhaps the primary way we receive strength from God for Godly living. This is why Peter says to be watchful and serious in your prayer life. Prayer is serious business and we should treat it as such. May we never skip out on our prayers! How is your prayer life? Is prayer just a habit for you? It should be more. Prayer is a privilege that Gos gives us. It’s a way to find strength, peace, wisdom and so much more. Start making prayer a priority in your life today!! If Christ were to return today, we wouldn’t want to be found doing foolish things! Prayer will keep us in His will!
