Key Verses: Psalm 121:1-2 “I will lift up my eyes to the hills — From whence comes my help? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.” Well…..its Monday again. While I am extremely thankful to God for giving me another day and filling my lungs with His breath of life, its still Monday. There are things that I need to get done that needed to be accomplished yesterday. I know that I am not the only one who feels this way. It’s so easy to look at the week’s schedule, and responsibilities that we have and become overwhelmed, and wonder how we will ever get it done. It’s easy to at times allow the future to overwhelm us. We wonder how we will get thorugh the day, the week, or even the month. Then to make matters worse, those feelings of anxiety and stress become even greater if there is a tragedy or trial that hits us unexpectedly. How can we get through times like this? How can we get the the hard Mondays? Psalm 121 tells us!! In this Psalm it appears that the Psalmist was having a tough day. Maybe he was overwhelmed by stress, and anxiety, maybe he was having family problems, or maybe he was literally fighting a war! In the midst of the craziness of every day life, we can forget that we have access the greatest power, and the greatest helper. When we feel overwhelmed, we must remember that our help comes from the Lord! Instead of looking to people, social media, or even drugs and alcohol to get us through the hard times, we instead must look to the Lord! This is what the Psalmist says we should do! If you are feeling overwhelmed today, take a minute and go read the entirety of Psalm 121. Through this psalm, I believe that God will give the encouragement and peace you need to face the day, week, or tragedy you are dealing with. Our God is faithful, and He is always ready to help us!! Look to God today!!
