Have you ever wondered what would happen if every choice you ever made was written down somewhere — and one day, someone read it all out loud? Revelation 20:12, 15 (NKJV) "And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life... And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire." This past Sunday, we stood before one of the most sobering passages in all of Scripture — the Great White Throne Judgment. It can feel heavy. But here's what I don't want you to miss: this passage isn't just about judgment. It's about a way out. John describes two sets of books. The first contains every thought, action, and intention of a person's life — a complete and perfect record. No evidence tampering. No corrupt verdict. God gets it right every time. But then there's a second book. The Book of Life. And here's the breathtaking truth: everything written in the first book — every failure, every sin, every moment you wish you could take back — can be covered if your name is written in the second one. How does your name get there? Not by being good enough. Not by outweighing your bad deeds with good ones. Your name is written in the Book of Life when you place your faith in Jesus Christ — believing that He died for your sins and rose again. That's it. That's the way out. And it's available to you right now. Application: Take sixty seconds today to simply say, "God, thank You that my name is written in the Book of Life because of Jesus." If you're not sure your name is there, today is the day to make it certain. Closing Thought: The most important book ever written has space for your name — and the Author is still holding the pen.
