Key Verses: Psalm 8:3-4 When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, The moon and the stars, which You have ordained, What is man that You are mindful of him, And the son of man that You visit him? Have you ever looked at God’s creation and been completely overwhelmed? That is what the psalmist was feeling when he penned this psalm. He looked up at the moon and the stars and saw how glorious they were. Perhaps he also looked out at the roaring rivers, and the majestic mountains and was just in awe of the creativity and majesty of our God. After looking at all this, the psalmist can’t understand why the God of the universe who created all of this would care to take interest in mankind. Why does God care about us? One would think that after 6,000 years of humans turning their back and rejecting God that He would leave us to our own devices and just forget about us. After all he could just restart on another planet if it pleased Him. The reason God is mindful of us is because it is who God is. God is love, and God is good. Despite all of our shortcomings God loves all of mankind and desires that they all be saved! He is good! Never for forget that! The Bible also teaches that it is the goodness of God leads us to repentance. God loves you, and we need to love Him! No matter what you’ve done, come back to God today! He’s a good Father!
