Key Verse: Psalm 103:19 

 

“The Lord has established His throne in heaven, And His kingdom rules over all.” 

 

This verse here in the 103rd Psalm is one that needs to be near the heart of every Christian. The reason for that is because in the world we live in today it is easy to fall into discouragement and heartbreak due to the state of affairs in our world. Everywhere we look there is evil, there is war, there is chaos, and at times it easy to feel as if God has lost His grip on our world. We have to remember He hasn’t. God is still seated on His throne. He is ruling and reigning and a day will come when He will end all heart break and sin. Perhaps some of us believe that God is ruling and reigning until something bad happens in our personal life. There have been many Christians throughout history who seemed to be strong Christians but when trials came their faith faltered. We must always remember that no matter what storm we face, no matter how bad the heart break, no matter how bad the depression, no matter how bad the loneliness, we must always that God is ok the throne and He is still at work. God has a plan, and nothing will thwart His plan. His plan is to save all those who place their faith in Jesus by giving them eternal life where there will be no more evil, and no more sadness. Our job here on this earth is to simply trust in God, trust His plan, and tell others about His plan. 

 

Dear friend, no matter how bad the storms in your life are you must remember that God is on His throne. However, our God is not a far away distant God who cannot be approached. We can approach God at anytime because we have been washed clean of our sin. When your in one of life’s many storms cry out to God in prayer. After all, He is the ultimate king. He will hear your cry for help and He will bring you help. He will bring you peace to endure the trial, He will bring you joy to make it through the depression, He will make sure you make it through the struggles of daily life. He is the King! He is the ruler! He will hear you! I know this because the Bible tells me, and because I’ve experienced it. He is working, He is on the throne. Don’t forget this, trust Him, trust His plan, and cry out to Him!
